Michelle S. Cho (b. 1996) lives and works in New York, NY. Cho received a BFA from the Cooper Union in 2019, and an MFA from the University of Pennsylvania in 2022. Recent group exhibitions include Fragment Gallery, New York (2023); island Gallery, New York (2023); CICA Museum, Gimpo (2023); Elizabeth Foundation for the Arts, New York (2022); Vox Populi, Philadelphia (2022).

 

Transforming refuse into new commodities, Michelle S. Cho uses sculpture to call forth legacies of transportation, migration, and its craftsman. Her works consider the political economies of raw materials and their histories in circulation in a transnational context.
